Squall
Leonhart
Squall is Seifer's rival. In the end he achieves at Seifer's
expense. They both use gunblades though Squall does so with
less skill. To compensate he uses more strength. (GF boosted
strength at that.) Its believe that at the end of the game
Squall is paired up with Rinoa. (Or dead as is my belief.)
Squall's character must have looked like a good idea at
the time... but really putting such a character in a game
as the lead role was asking for trouble. Squall seems like
a very ordinary modern young person. (He doesnt care as
long as it doesnt affect him.) He doesnt dance, and doesnt
socialize very well. Despite this the people in the group
of main characters like him better than Seifer. (Girl's
think he's more cute too.)

Rinoa
Heartilly
At the start of the game, (But away from the main story.)
Rinoa and Seifer know each other. Friends perhaps. They
have known each other for two years and its likely that
she has something to do with his 'break out of the Garden
and capture the pres' campaign which inadvertantly made
him the enemy. After he's captured she admits that she thinks
it may have been love... but as far as I know she never
gets to try that idea out.
Somewhere later in the game she becomes the sorceress, Seifer
kidnaps her and takes her to adel and she goes insane with
grief over Squall's death in that dessert that reprisents
the edge of time compression. (Note her insanity makes her
hallucinate Squall's pressence.)

Quistis
Trepe
The instructor at the Garden where most of the plot takes
place, she loses her position as an instructor for failed
leadership qualities. (Looks like a direct result of Seifer's
actions on the mission.) Early in the game she spends a
lot of time picking on Squall by predicting what he's going
to say. (Its not hard, just use a 50% chance that he doesnt
care.) This ends when Squall tells her to go talk to a brick
wall. She also picked on Seifer a little but his replies
didnt seem to disturb her as much.
Quistis would have probably spent more time with Seifer
while he was at the garden than any other playable character.
Mainly because he's more likely to get some sort of detention
than any of her other students. I also know that she was
there when Seifer broke out, and yet wasnt hurt enough to
stop following him all the way to Timber. (Could she have
avoided getting in direct contact or did he just not want
to hit her?)

Selphie
Tilmitt.
A transfer from another garden early in the game, she seems
to be everything Squall is not. (Bubbling with personality
and energy... not to mention female.) Her first interaction
with Seifer is trying to tell him to retreat. Like that
was gonna turn out well. She replaces him for the second
part of that mission filling in the third slot in the group
while they retreat... and how.
Later in the game (Perhaps at the point where Seifer is
starting to regret.) They actualy have some dialogue that
isnt based on combat. She tells him he's not her type.

Sorceress
Edea.
Edea was the sorceress about the time Seipher left behind
his goal of becoming a SeeD. I still believe that she had
a really big input into making him the sorceress' knight.
(Yeah, like not having him executed.)
Edea and Seifer dont talk as far as I know, the one time
they did she called him a child and I expected him to go
psycho (Either cut her down or cry.) Later when they're
seen together he just stands there looking glazed over and
pleased.

Chicken-wuss.
Zell's the little kid that Seifer bullies. All the time.
This may have had something to do with the particularly
violent and energetic form of combat Zell uses. Zell loves
hotdogs, I bet that given the oppertunity Seifer would eat
extra just to piss him off.
But could there be a connection? Seifer bullies Zell more
than anyone else. It could just be this is how he shows
his friendly affection... if that is the case Seifer's more
psycho than I thought.

Irvine
Kineas.
Do they ever meet? I dont know. I doubt Irvine would get
along with Seifer any better than the others do. That and
Irvine's inability to fight when its decisive would piss
Seifer off to no end I imagine. All in all I think Irvine
would have made a better farmer than a SeeD. I wont even
mention his sheep-shag coat.

Laguna
Loire.
The guy is an idiot. I dont think he ever met Seifer but
I doubt they would get along. He starts off as a soldier,
ends up who knows where. Maybe Seifer could respect his
ability to shoot people but thats about it.
